At Design International, we were thrilled to support Tremorfa in the Clough Road Custody Suite refurbishment project. Our role was to supply key hardware and provide essential support, including advanced security components such as Affray alarms.
Tremorfa’s Approach
Initial Meeting: Tremorfa’s primary objective during the initial meeting was to thoroughly understand Humberside Police’s operational requirements. Business continuity was critical, so they developed a plan that facilitated temporary shutdowns within an acceptable timeframe.
Collaboration and Planning: Working closely with both us and Humberside Police, Tremorfa devised a detailed schedule and provided comprehensive wiring schematics to the cabling contractor. This close collaboration ensured the project adhered strictly to the designated shutdown period, minimising any disruption.
Installation and Activation
Specialist Contractors: While the appointed contractor managed the cable infrastructure, Design International focused on supplying the Affray alarms and other high-tech security systems. Sequential activation allowed different areas to be brought online efficiently as the cabling work progressed.
Soft-Landing Process: To reduce operational disruptions during system activation, Tremorfa implemented a soft-landing approach. This ensured immediate support from trained professionals for any issues encountered, facilitating a smooth transition to the new system.
Project Outcomes
Tremorfa completed the Clough Road Custody Suite refurbishment ahead of schedule and within the allocated budget. This enabled them to provide cost-saving solutions to Humberside Police, aligning with the actual project timeline rather than initial estimates.
The enhanced functionality of the new systems, coupled with a continuous improvement approach, impressed Humberside Police. Subsequently, they allocated an additional budget to enhance their Grimsby Custody Suite, further solidifying the partnership.
